About Us

AmeriCorp Security is a quality, value, and client focused security provider prioritizing the community with a local office and advanced patrol tactics for public safety. Our leadership has a long history of military, law enforcement, security, and public service. Redding native Dr. John Engbeck had served as leadership in the United States Marine Corps prior to his law enforcement and security career. Major General Mark MacCarley's continued service to the international community continues with law enforcement and public service after his highly decorated career in the United States Army where he had provided logistics and leadership during the Global War on Terror. Obaid Aman, trained under Blackwater and the US government, has a security contracting history assisting United States Military forces during the War in Afghanistan prior to a storied career in the private security industry. Northern California native David Edfors has a career starting in private security, eventually becoming a heavily certified industry specialist that leads security teams for key clients, as well as leading several initiatives that AmeriCorp has since adopted. Such initiatives, and not limited to, have aligned us with the likes of the Department of Homeland Security's Blue Campaign against human trafficking, FEMA, as well as local Redding initiatives to address fentanyl, mental health, and homeless crisis. Greatly important to us is also our Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and other veteran support programs/management within our teams.
