California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS) are essentially the Amazon.com of California state contracting. CMAS agreements are awarded to two or more contractors for the same products and/or services at the same or similar prices. The CMAS agreement contains all the State of California contract terms and conditions, procurement codes, policies, and guidelines. Once an agreement is in place, California state agencies and some local governments can simply click to order supplies or services from the CMAS at the established rates and terms without going through a competitive bid process.
