Living with an addict is devastating and all-consuming. You try to save someone’s life who doesn’t even care. Holidays are a time when families suffer the most. Booze is everywhere! Addicts aren’t bad people. No-one decides one morning to make every effort to become an alcoholic. When you choose a partner you don’t seek out someone who is struggling with addiction. The stigma needs to be removed! One way to do that is creating awareness and learning about addiction. How does a family member (Codependent) feel when living with an addict? Shame â€'' Isolation â€'' Fear â€'' Denial â€'' Hopelessness â€'' Low Self-Esteem Let’s meet and start the conversation. We all can contribute in some way, shape, or form to help!
