National Donut Day

The Salvation Army established "National Donut Day" in 1938 to honor The Salvation Army's “Donut Lassies,” who traveled to the front lines in WWI. They provided essential goods and sweet treats to troops to boost morale. The Salvation Army is still serving on the front lines here in our community, through a wide range of social services for America’s most vulnerable individuals, veterans and families.
Stop by your local donut shop and consider giving a box of donuts to your local hospital, fire station or police station. Post your donations with the hashtags #DonutDay and #DonutsForHeroes!
