Driving through Shasta County, one occasionally will come across a historic marker for Nobles Trail. Have you ever wondered about where the trail leads and how it came to exist? Attend the Shasta Historical Society’s March program and learn the fascinating history behind this trail from California Trail historian and author, Ken Johnston. Ken’s recently published book, The Nobles Emigrant Trail, describes the fascinating history behind the creation of this trail. Using this book as a guide, one can easily follow the trail’s route from Black Rock to Shasta City, exploring historic army forts, trading posts, and stage stops along the way. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity to speak with the author and to purchase his book.
