The historic Lake Redding Regatta returns!

This two-day kayak, SUP, canoe, and crew race is held at the Lake Redding Park along the Sacramento River. Grab your paddle and join the race!

The Lake Redding Regatta revives a cherished tradition from 1933 to 1939, adapting to modern paddle sports while honoring Redding’s rich recreational history.

Dating back to the 1930s Water Carnival, the Lake Redding Regatta is a weekend of paddling, community, and celebration. This revived tradition invites kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) to race through the heart of Redding’s riverfront, welcoming all skill levels for fun, friendly competition.

Whether you’re racing for speed or cheering from the shoreline, the Regatta brings something for everyone. Expect live music, local vendors, wellness activities, demos, and a classic car show lining the banks.
