Northern California Procurement Technical Assistance Center provides no-cost government contracting counseling, bid matching, and training for businesses located in our 15-county service area in Northern California. Oakland Women's Business Center AnewAmerica Women’s Business Center - Oakland provides training, counseling and other support services to help women entrepreneurs start and successfully grow their businesses. In addition, the center supports women business owners. The center is open to all. Women's Business Centers (WBCs) represent a national network of over 100 educational centers throughout the United States and its territories, which are designed to assist women in starting and growing small businesses. WBCs seek to "level the playing field" for women entrepreneurs, who still face unique obstacles in the business world. SBA’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO) oversees the WBC network, which provides entrepreneurs (especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged) comprehensive training and counseling on a variety of topics in several languages. Women's Business Center at JEDI The WBC at JEDI provides in-depth, substantive, outcome-oriented business services to women (and men) entrepreneurs, both nascent and established businesses in the Siskiyou, Shasta, Trinity and Humboldt Counties of California. Liz Brazil Liz has extensive experience with small and disadvantaged business enterprise programs working over 35 years for various Bay Area transportation agencies such as Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART), Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC), and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). She is familiar with local, State, and Federal procurement processes. Her passion is helping small businesses be successful and win government contracts. She holds a BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from San Francisco State University.
