Ever heard of Qualcomm? 23andMe? iRobot? Symantec?
These, along with thousands of other companies over the last 40 years, got their start with funding from the Small Business Innovation Research program.
The money is non-dilutive (i.e., companies don’t have to give up any ownership equity) and does not have to be paid back (i.e., the funding is not a loan).
Do you have an innovative idea? Are you looking for funding to bring your idea to the market?
This program may make sense for you. There are 11 agencies of the US government that provide funding to qualified small businesses to bring their inventions from the research stage to a commercial product. These are grants or contracts that can reach $2M or more.
Join us for a free webinar on Tuesday, January 18th at 10am Pacific time.
The event will start with an introduction to the SBIR program, followed by a discussion on the NASA and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) SBIR programs (two of the 11 participating government agencies), which are releasing their solicitations for 2022 during January.
