The Center for Economic Development (CED) along with the Shasta
College DSN for Agriculture, Water, and Environmental Technology will
be hosting two half-day workshops in Shasta County!
The morning workshop will focus on cottage food businesses, which will
include local permitting processes and food safety regulations with an
emphasis on farmers markets and producing products in the home. The
workshop will also feature the owners of Measures of Joy- a local gluten
free bakery who will be sharing their success story! The afternoon workshop
will focus on financing options and available business resources for food and
beverage manufacturers. There will also be information about the current and
future outlook of the agriculture industry in Shasta County. This is an event you
don’t want to miss!
