Ernest Wertheim will reflect on his childhood in Germany during the Nazis' rise to power and how he eventually lost both of his parents in the Holocaust. He will share stories about how he escaped Nazi Germany in 1938 after saving the lives of dozens of youth by guiding them down ski slopes into Czechoslovakia. During his time in the U.S. Army, he met and worked with Gen. MacArthur.
