Covid-19 and Leading During a Crisis

It takes some special qualities to successfully lead a team when the world seems to be falling apart around them.  Calm in the storm, communication, unity ? these, and other qualities need to be inbred in the company culture from the very beginning to insure that the team is on-board.

During this hour we will have presenters from the SBA and SBDC share about business recovery. This will include the latest business updates to help your business recover and things to think about in successfully leading during a crisis.

SBA Resources to Help Your Business Rebound

The first half hour David Castaneda from Sacramento SBA District Office will provide a brief update of the latest business assistance/funding information including the following and a time for Q&A:

• The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program offered directly from the SBA
• The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), offered through local lending institutions (until 8 Aug 2020)
• Assistance available at no cost from our local resource partners, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, Women?s Business Center (WBC), and SCORE
• SBA programs to access capital
• Information on federal government contracting programs

COVID-19 and Leadership During a Crisis

During the final half hour, Ashlee Tate will moderate a panel discussion with several successful business leaders to discuss these topics and how to successfully grow an effective team in a changing world. 

Discussion topics include:

• Special leadership qualities necessary during a crisis
• Being the calm in the storm

• Fostering unity
• Important virtues to establish in your company culture
