Building a Website for Beginners

Let's face it, if you don't have a website you basically don't exist. This hands on workshop is designed for the /non-techie/ business owner who wants to build a simple yet high quality website. During this workshop participants will be led through the process of developing a website using the Weebly.com platform. Weebly.com is a drag-and-drop style website builder that does not require any technical coding; simply drag and drop pictures, videos and text where you want them to appear on your website. Things to Bring: -- Your laptop. This is a hands-on workshop and you will be building a website in class -- Log in information for your domain name if you already have one. If you don't have one that's ok, you'll learn how to get one in class -- Optional: a credit card - if you don't have a domain name and wish to purchase one you'll be show how to do so. If you're not ready to purchase one yet that's ok, you can use a place holder for now. -- A written overview of your business, your products/services, your /About Us/ and any other items you want on your website including pictures and/or videos.
